For What It Is
(2022 - on going)
With this work I wanted to narrate, like notes in a notebook, the places I encounter during my frequent walks.
Fascinated by the interconnection between things that are distant by elements that distinguish them, I tried to construct a series that would serve as a metaphorical walk, in an imaginary place where all the photographed elements become apparent, one in a row.
Many of these photographs were taken a few meters from my home : subsequent to the lockdown, the need arose in me to tell the places as they really are, perhaps boring, perhaps sometimes instead capable of filling the eye, as soon as the light changes.
So I tried to capture that slight sense of wonder of the everyday, without presuming to understand it, but only to capture it as a reminder, as a child of the fleeting emotion of amazement.
